Lead Removal

Some asbestos abatement projects and just about all mold remediation projects require some type of demolition work. The same can be said for demolition and renovation projects, in that some type of contaminated material may be encountered during the project. The two most common hazards that are associated with demolition and renovation projects are:

  • ASBESTOS
  • LEAD BASE PAINT

Assured Environmental Services Inc. is a LEAD-SAFE CERTIFIED FIRM.

We are certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and our staff is trained to use lead-safe work practices during any demolition or renovation project in which lead is present. Dust Control is very important. It is the major component to any project that involves airborne particles whether it is considered hazardous or non-hazardous. Our experience, in containing and removing asbestos containing materials (ACM), provides us with the resources needed to complete any demolition and/or renovation project while keeping the dust levels to a minimum.

Remember that most homes and buildings constructed before 1978 may have either lead base paint or asbestos present. If you plan on renovating your home, office or apartment building, please be aware that common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead and/or asbestos dust which can be harmful to adults and children.
